Up to now and in particular for the private sector, small industries and in the agricultural sector there were only very few inexpensive technologies for an appropriate solution of this problem.  As a matter of fact, the traditional clarification systems are now disused, since they need to be converted, retrofitted or even replaced in order to meet the present legal requirements.  Thus a cost factor that may not be underestimated.
